This was a great tactic for when we saw a group of armed police officers charging at us. Once we did this, we were in control of that enemy and his weapon until he died. The hand can crawl across any floor, including walls and ceilings, and when near enemies it can hop onto their heads and dig into their skulls. Doing this makes Stubbs rip his own arm off, and we thereafter had control of a scuttling hand, much like Thing in The Addams Family. Once you've chewed enough and the hand icon lights up on the right of the screen, it's a good idea to press the black button immediately. To utilize any of these special attacks as well as regenerate health we had to chew on faces. The fart bomb is an area of effect attack that stuns nearby foes, the gut bomb is like a grenade that detonates after a certain period, and the hand is the by far the most entertaining. Stubbs has a few abilities available to him, including a fart bomb, a gut bomb, and a detachable hand.
Cooperative mode was great since we could have one player directing the zombie throng while the other ran behind distracted cops and chewed on their heads. We couldn't take all our foes down alone, and often needed to rely on our zombie horde to eat brains on their own or act as bullet absorbing shields. This was definitely necessary at times since the police we were moving against liberally discharge their weapons, zap you with tazers, and punch you in the face. Once we amassed a respectably sized army of dead ones, we were able to direct them to certain areas of the stage by whistling and shoving them.
STUBBS THE ZOMBIE 2 PLAYER PC SERIES
We played through a series of short chapters where we ate the brains of civilians and police officers, changing them into zombie minions. Regardless of how many times a game can make you laugh, it still has to play well to be enjoyable, and Stubbs delivers. The insanely high degree of gore and violence in the game sharply contrasts with the idyllic innocence of the surrounding environment, making you laugh instead of cringe as you splatter the insides of a police officer's head across a wall. Second, the game takes place against the backdrop of the overblown, Fallout-style na¿vet¿ of the American 1950s. First off, the point of the game is simply to kill humans and turn them into zombie slaves that follow you around and, well, kill more humans.
Stubbs already has an original arsenal of zombie attacks at his disposal but they take on new uses when a partner tags along.Ĭharles' Impressions Stubbs the Zombie is a hilarious game in just about every aspect. Players are able to experience the story mode with a friend in tow. Lucky for Stubbs he doesn't have to traverse the mean streets of Punchbowl alone. The only thing cramping his style is a constant stream of humans dead set on killing him again. You can tell by the way he saunters down the street with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and half of his lower intestine hanging from his side.
